The Alexander City Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 3:00 pm in a Work Session to discuss the status of the Alexander City Comprehensive Plan. This meeting is open to the public.

The City of Alexander City is embarking on a project that will set a vision for our community for years to come. The City Council and Mayor Baird are working with Place Associates to build a Comprehensive Plan, update the Zoning Ordinance, Zoning Map, and Subdivision Regulations. The comprehensive plan is a guiding document for growth and development based on the community's stated goals and values. The zoning ordinance, zoning map and the subdivision regulations are in accordance with the comprehensive plan in supporting the specifics in developing land.
