Planning Commission

The City is grateful for our many members that serve on our municipal boards. They are essential to improving the quality of life for our citizens.

The Alexander City Planning Commission was established on March 18, 1947, under Ordinance 333. There are currently nine (9) members serving on the commission. The commission is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council concerning the zoning of property and approving the subdividing of land.

 

Meetings:

  • 4:00 p.m.
  • 2nd Tuesday of each month
  • Public Works Briefing Room, 281 James D. Nabors Drive, Alexander City, AL 35010
  • All Planning Commission meetings are open to the public, with the exception of executive sessions.
