T.C. Russell Field Airport

T.C. Russell Field is our general aviation airport. We are committed to providing airmen with low-cost aircraft fuel and reasonably priced aircraft storage. Below is a link to AIRNAV for current fuel costs. The airport is conveniently located near many restaurants, retail businesses, Lake Martin, HWY 280, and the Airport Industrial Park. We welcome you to drop in, shop and eat. 

The airport is solely owned and maintained by the City of Alexander City. Alexander City serves as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO)  and offers a variety of services.  The airport has tie-down ramp space. We also provide assistance with reserving rental car(s).

The 18/36 runway is 5417 feet long and 95 feet wide. Runway 18/36 is served by a parallel taxiway. The airport is equipped with MIRL, MITL, PAPI, and AWOS. The telephone number to reach the AWOS is 256-329-1820.

Fueling Options:

1. Self serve Avgas is available 24/7.

2. Jet A fuel is available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For any fueling after normal business hours, please make prior arrangements with the Airport staff. 

*** Self serve Jet A fuel pump is now available.

 

Hangers:

There are 18 t-hangars and two (2) corporate hangars located at the airport, which are leased on an annual basis.
