Building & Code Enforcement

The Building Department and Code Enforcement are located in the Municipal Complex at 281 James D. Nabors Drive.

The Building Department is committed to working with residents, contractors, and others in a professional manner by enforcing building regulations and codes that have been adopted by the City. 

Contact the Building Department at (256) 329-6712 for permitting and inspections.  As of September 1, 2023, please schedule inspections 24 hours prior to the  desired inspection time and date.

Code Enforcement oversees the Weed Abatement Program, Dilapidated Structure Program, and enforces codes and ordinances adopted by the City.
