Annexations

The 2020 Annexation became effective as of Monday, May 18, 2020. The annexed area includes a portion of land located on or near HWY 63 S. Below are some things you may want to know about being annexed into the City Limits. 

1. You will be able to vote in City elections.

2. The physical address of your property will not change.

3. The streets will be maintained by the City, as long as they are not state highways.

4. You will be able to receive brush/limb pick up.

The recent annexation became effective as of Thursday, August 1, 2019. The annexed areas include: a portion of HWY 63 S near HWY 128, Cross Creek Subdivision on HWY 22 W, and areas near Sturdivant Road. Below are some things you may want to know about being annexed into the City Limits.

1. You will be able to vote in City elections.

2. The physical address of your property will not change.

3. The streets will be maintained by the City, as long as they are not state highways or private streets.

4. You will be able to receive brush/limb pick up.
