Planning Commission

The Alexander City Planning Commission was established on March 18, 1947, under Ordinance 333. There are currently nine (9) members serving on the Planning Commission. Each member is appointed by the Mayor under Section 11-52-3 of Alabama Code 1975. The commission is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council concerning the zoning of property and approving the subdividing of land.
