Wharf Casual Seafood has announced that construction will officially begin on their Alexander City location this week. "The City is very excited to have the Wharf opening a location in Alexander City," said Mayor Woody Baird. "We would like to thank Noah Griggs for selecting Alexander City for his newest location."

The Wharf Casual Seafood sent out the following press release earlier this week:

After many months of due diligence and working with the city, we are fully permitted and ready for construction. "We are grateful for the communities’ patience and overwhelming support of this endeavor" said Noah J. Griggs, Jr. (President and CEO). We anticipate opening in early 2023.

In addition to Alexander City,  we are in discussions with the City of Sylacauga to bring Wharf Casual Seafood to their community. Bryan Taunton, the Commercial Development Authority Executive Director has been instrumental in working on our behalf with the mayor and city council to make this opportunity possible. We view the two markets as independent trade areas and believe both communities are underserved in the seafood category.

With eight locations currently in operation, the brand is poised for additional growth throughout Alabama, North Florida, and Southwest Georgia. Plans are set for 20 or more locations over the next five years. Wharf Casual Seafood is known for bringing great seafood to local communities with a resounding promise… “The Coast is Here!”
