The City is hosting two community meetings to provide citizens with an opportunity to have input about it's future. Please join us in shaping our City's future.
The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Cornerstone Methodist Church. The address is 310 Green Street, Alexander City, AL 35010.
The second meeting will take place Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex. The address is 281 James D. Nabors Drive, Alexander City, AL 35010.
The City of Alexander City is embarking on a project that will set a vision for our community for years to come. The City Council and Mayor Baird are working with Place Associates to build a Comprehensive Plan, update the Zoning Ordinance, Zoning Map, and Subdivision Regulations. The comprehensive plan is a guiding document for growth and development based on the community's stated goals and values. The zoning ordinance, zoning map and the subdivision regulations are in accordance with the comprehensive plan in supporting the specifics in developing land.
