Council Meeting

The City Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex located at 281 James D. Nabors Dr. 

The meeting will be accessible to all persons. If you or someone attending have a disability which may require special services, materials or assistance or need further information, please contact the City Clerk's office, at (256) 329-6700

            Rules for Public Comments

• Anyone planning to speak must sign up to do so before the meeting. The council meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. A sign-in sheet will be provided outside 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. No one will be permitted to speak who has not signed up to do so.
• The Council President will call on each speaker individually to approach the podium during his or her turn.
• City Council meetings are recorded via audio and video. For recording purposes, please state your name and speak clearly into the microphone.
• Each speaker will be given up to 3 minutes to speak. A timer will be used to ensure fairness.
• All comments should be relevant to the application and should not be of a personal nature.
• Please avoid repetitive comments. Simply state your agreement with the previous speaker(s), unless you have additional questions or concerns.
• All members of the audience should remain silent at all times. Only those who sign up to speak will be allowed to do so and only during their designated turn.
• Unruly behavior including speaking out of turn, derogatory personal comments, foul language, disorderly conduct, booing, hissing, disrespectful behavior, etc. is prohibited.
• Anyone violating these ground rules will be asked to leave and/or escorted from the premises if necessary.
