The City of Alexander City's Building Department is committed to providing our community with a number of services that ensure safety, health, public peace, order and general welfare for the public. The intention is to maintain public interest and protect individual property rights by regulating and controlling the construction, materials used, and utilization of all building and structures within our City limits.

We gladly accept walk-ins. However, for your convenience please call (256) 329-6712 for an appointment for permits. This will ensure that we are not out of the office on an inspection or in a meeting.
