North Central Ave. Inert Landfill

The North Central Avenue Inert Landfill is permitted to accept limbs, leaves, tires, furniture, construction debris, and other similar materials. NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH may be brought into the landfill; doing so is considered illegal dumping, and violators will be prosecuted. For a complete list of acceptable/unacceptable materials, click here.

Landfill use is restricted to residents and businesses within the city limits. Residents may use the landfill free of charge; however, you must show your most recent city utility bill and driver’s license with corresponding addresses to gain entry. Businesses must visit the Utilities Department at City Hall to purchase a ticket prior to entering the landfill. Alternatively, businesses frequently using the landfill can set up an account to be invoiced on a monthly basis. Fees will be charged as listed below.

To dispose of tires in the landfill, residences and businesses must visit the Utilities Department at City Hall (insert link) to purchase a tire ticket prior to entering the landfill. The brush truck will not pick up any tires curbside.

The following fees will be charged to residents/ businesses based within the city limits seeking to dispose of tires. Tickets must be purchased at the Utilities Department at City Hall, located at 4 Court Square, Alexander City, AL 35010, prior to landfill entry.
